Recall
About
Recall is composed for bass voice and electronic music. The project is inspired by research developed in TenorFlow, where we attempted a simplified categorization of the voice into noise breath, pulse-wave oscillation (vocal fry units), and vowels. These vocal components are then used as core sound materials for composition and arrangement.
Electronic Process
On the electronic side, the piece uses FluCoMa (Fluid Corpus Manipulation) to slice and analyze multiple vocal materials, including vocal fry. These units are mapped onto a two-dimensional plane for electronic sound processing and performance control.
